First of all, Charliegrrl has a short film of the protest against the siting and sale of Lads Mags staged by East Midland Feminists, Northwest Feminists and supporters outside WHSmith in Leicester. There’s just a few of them but did they make an impact? You bet they did.
And then there’s the flasher in the dirty mac…
…who just goes to prove that all you need to stage a protest is you!

Another thing that the protest did was spark some interest in protesting outside other WHS – Birmingham will hopefully be hearing the enlightened side of things fairly soon. My slogan in the making is “WHSmith – Nuts about degrading women”. Not sure if i’ve nicked that from somewhere!

I can see this spreading all over the world, with “flashers” in different countries streaming their video to a website. You might even be able to stream it live in real time if you have the resources.

That flasher is hilarious. She’s very brave to go up to people – seemed like most of them got her point though.
